Introduction
The Magicard Mac Driver ensures seamless printing for Magicard and compatible card printers on macOS. Follow this guide to download, install, and set up your printer correctly.
Step 1: Download the Driver

Step 2: Install the Driver on macOS
- 
Check Processor Type – Go to Apple Menu > About This Mac to check if your Mac has an Intel or Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) processor. 
- 
Download the Correct Driver – Use the driver link above to get the right version for your Mac. 
- 
Install the Driver – Open the downloaded file and follow the installation steps. 
- 
Restart Your Mac – A system restart is recommended after installation. 
Step 3: Add & Configure Your Printer
For USB Connection:
- 
Connect your Magicard printer via USB. 
- 
Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners and click + to add the printer. 
- 
Select your Magicard printer from the list and follow on-screen prompts. 
- 
Print a test page to verify functionality. 
For Network (LAN) Connection:
- 
Open System Settings > Printers & Scanners and click + to add a new printer. 
- 
Select your printer under IP Address and enter its network details. 
- 
Follow the prompts and set the printer as default. 
- 
Print a test page to confirm the connection. 
Step 4: Enable Advanced Printer Settings (CUPS Admin Page)
- 
Open Terminal and run: cupsctl WebInterface=yes
- 
Open a browser and go to localhost:631 to access the CUPS Admin page. 
- 
Adjust default print settings for better quality and performance.

Which processor does my Mac have (Intel or Apple Silicon)?
To determine whether your Mac uses an Intel or Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) processor:
- 
Click the Apple Menu () in the top-left corner. 
- 
Select About This Mac. 
- 
Look under the Processor or Chip section: - 
If it says Intel, your Mac has an Intel processor. 
- 
If it says M1, M2, or M3, your Mac has Apple Silicon (ARM). 
 
- 
Knowing your processor type ensures you download the correct printer driver.
